Winter IT Infrastructure Intern

Located: Princeton, NJ | Full-Time

As an IT Infrastructure Intern, you will assist in developing and optimizing our organization's infrastructure development, database optimization, network configuration, server management, etc. You will work closely with the IT team to find optimized solutions to diverse problems, enhancing our trading environment’s efficiency as well as security.   • Start Date:  January 12, 2026
  • Duration: 10 weeks for full-time (Ending on March 20, 2026), or 15 weeks for part-time
    (ending May 1, 2026)

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Take part in server optimization, server management and data center experience.
    • Participate in identity management, cloud solution configuration based on needs.
    • Support the deployment and configuration of core systems.
    • Monitor system performance, identify vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot technical and security-related issues.
    • Provide network security support, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention.
    • Take part in database related operations.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Academic: B.S. in Computer Science, or M.S. or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
    • Good communication skills and a proactive team player.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and DevOps tools like Docker, Jenkins, or Terraform.
    • Solid understanding of operating system and network concepts including firewalls, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and secure protocols (SSL/TLS, IPsec).
    • Experience scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and version control (Git).
    • Basic knowledge of database (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) operation, SQL experience.
    • Proficiency in Python.
    • Experience or familiarity with penetration testing or vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Nmap) to identify security gaps and improve defenses is a plus.
    • Familiarity with trading or financial systems is a plus.
