Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure: Help provision, configure, and maintain cloud resources including virtual machines, databases, storage, and virtual networking components.
- Infrastructure as Code: Contribute to IaC efforts, helping migrate manual configurations into version-controlled, repeatable modules.
- Networking & Security: Support network configuration, firewall management, and security hardening initiatives including vulnerability assessments and segmentation reviews.
- Automation: Write scripts to automate infrastructure tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Deployments & Containers: Help build and maintain deployment pipelines and assist with container orchestration workflows.
- Identity & Access: Support cloud identity configuration and access policy management.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain infrastructure documentation and translate technical issues clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
- Incident Support: Participate in troubleshooting production issues across networking, compute, and identity systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Networking: Working knowledge of core networking concepts — TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls, and subnetting. This is a core requirement for the role, not optional.
- Cloud: Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform. Azure experience is preferred; AWS or GCP background is transferable.
- Scripting: Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Security: Basic understanding of security principles including least privilege, defense-in-depth, and common attack vectors.
- Version Control: Comfortable with Git in a collaborative, code-review workflow.
- Communication: Able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences. Professionalism under pressure is important.
- Mindset: Self-sufficient and adaptable in a fast-paced, small-team environment with broad scope.
